Helvetica

Do you think the Helvetica typeface is good or bad? Why?

The font 'Helvetica' is good because it looks clear and simple. That's why we can find out Helvetica very easily in everywhere. As Helvetica has used in many areas such as media, ads, and sign industry etc, it became a unified font.

Who was your favorite type or graphic designer interviewed in the movie, and why?

I forgot his name, but the font designer who compares Coca-Cola ads from the 50's and today. I really like the way he talks. As he gave an example, Coca-Cola, he told what he thinks about Helvetica. And he said,
"It is that simple, drink Coke! Period!"

Write a one or two paragraph review of the movie.

This film is about the origin of the pervasively utilized typeface,'Helvetica,' is created by Swiss typeface designer Max Miedinger in 1957. And it still has been developing today. Also we can find in everywhere: subways, streets, TV, and computer. This film proves that the Hevetica is a really creative and epoch-making font by showing many interviews of well-known font designers.
